A collection of short films produced by Osian Gwent AGSA London Exhibition with the actor Michael Sheen Size means nothing. Paintings go global from this wee place. I didn’t feel like painting today. But that’s when you still have to show up at the easel and push through. Here’s a glimpse of a typical day for me. I’ll often have three or more paintings on the go at one time. This allows me to continue to working as I’m waiting for a painting to dry. In addition, it keeps my level of interest and productivity focused, as I easily get bored if I’m just doing one painting only. This painting has been a battle from the outset. It seemed to come together early on. Then it belly flopped. It wanted to go in another direction. By persevering through the process I am beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. This may turn out to be one of my defining works to date. As with all my paintings I allow them to lead. I simply follow along never knowing where the journey ends up. Sometimes I’m treated with a real surprise. I live for this. A series of seven unique responses to one of my paintings, as seen through the eyes of writer, author and wordsmith Elizabeth Lymer.
